The Lead(H)er Fellowship 2025 for Young Women in Africa [Cohort 4] is now accepting applications.
The fourth cohort of the Lead(H)er Fellowship has been launched with great pleasure by the tripartite cooperation of Plan International, YouLead Africa, and the African Union Office of the Youth Envoy. Younger female leaders based mostly in Eastern, Southern Africa, and the Middle East are given the option to express interest under this banner.
Lead(H)er means for “she is a leader,” and the Fellowship was created to help young women in Africa by fostering their knowledge, skills, and goals in the areas of politics, business and economics, and peace and security.
The Fellowship aims to increase the impact of young women at the local and grassroots levels while providing a safe space for those who haven’t had much exposure to regional and global options. By doing this, they hope that younger women who have a unique interest in financial management, political engagement, and peace and safety will contribute in these areas.
The Lead(H)er Fellowship this year is planned to last five months, with the first week perhaps taking place in person and the other weeks possibly taking place virtually. It is expected that the Fellow will devote at least 10 hours per 30 days to the digital component, which includes private assignments and virtual meetings. Digital meetings with the trainers might take up two hours each week, and readings, group projects, and private assignments could take up two hours every thirty days.
