The Africa Impact Summit will demonstrate how impact investing can improve the continent.
On July 13-14, the National Advisory Boards (NABs) for Impact Investing in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, and Zambia will conduct the first Africa Impact Summit at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
The hybrid event is titled “Unleashing African Potential Through Impact Investing” and is supported by connected African task groups, the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG).
It will serve as a dialogue platform for leaders and experts from various sectors influencing impacts investing across the continent, such as policymakers, early-stage businesses and enterprises, fund managers, institutional investors, development finance institutions, and international organizations.
Delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the sectors driving development and impact in Africa – agriculture, climate change, education, energy, financial services, healthcare, infrastructure, technology, and water – as well as the key actions required to accelerate sustainable development on the continent, with over 40 speakers participating.
The program will cover a wide range of issues, including Africa’s progress toward the SDGs, helping female entrepreneurs, investing in SMEs and startups, and much more. During the Africa Impact Summit, the winners of the inaugural Intellidex Africa Impact Investment Awards, which aim to shine a spotlight on impact investing in Africa, will also be announced.
