Microsoft has released Windows Copilot, the next AI assistant for Windows 11.
Microsoft just released Windows Copilot, an AI ‘personal assistant’ for Windows 11, making it the first PC platform to provide centralized AI support.
Microsoft made the statement at the company’s recent Build Developer conference.
Users can quickly enable Windows Copilot by clicking on the button conveniently situated in the center of the taskbar. The Windows Copilot sidebar, once engaged, remains consistent across all applications, programs, and windows, acting as a devoted personal assistant.
This powerful tool empowers users by allowing them to take action quickly, modify settings, and interact with their favorite programs smoothly.
Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer of Windows and Devices, stated that the Bing and ChatGPT plugins in Windows Copilot will provide consumers with augmented AI capabilities and experiences.
Furthermore, “developers will have new opportunities to reach out to and innovate for their shared customers.”
Mr. Panay urged developers to continue investing in Bing and ChatGPT plugins in order for their investments to be carried over to Windows Copilot.
Windows Copilot is now ready for preview on Windows 11, and users may sign up for updates on the team’s website.
