Forbes is Inviting North African Startups to Apply for its $500k Competition
A US$500,000 competition has been launched by Forbes and the Aviram Foundation to find innovative companies dedicated to using technological innovation to create meaningful, substantial change.
The competition, whose grand prize is US$500,000, seeks out unique goods or services that will have a positive influence on society, the environment, or people. Hundreds of entries were made for the competition last year, and the Israeli business RedC Biotech won first place.
Startups from Algeria, Egypt, and Morocco as well as Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are welcome to participate in the competition. Businesses with an established concept that benefits humanity and are in the pre-seed or seed phase are eligible to apply. They couldn’t have invested more than US$5 million in all.
Submissions will be accepted until January 30.
