Ashoka’s health-focused accelerator is now accepting applications.
Network for Social Entrepreneurship Ashoka and the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim have opened applications for their Making More Health accelerator program (MMH).
Ashoka identifies and supports the world’s leading social entrepreneurs, learns from patterns in their innovations, and mobilizes a global community to embrace these new frameworks in order to create a “everyone a changemaker world.”
The MMH accelerator, now in its fourth year, is a structured business growth program divided into two stages. The first phase, known as the “Pilot Phase,” lasts 12 months and entails the co-creation and pilot implementation of a high-impact strategic project or initiative to drive the growth, impact, and sustainability of participating businesses. It is supported financially with EUR50,000 (US$56,000).
The second phase, known as the “Scale-up Phase,” lasts 12 months and follows the successful implementation of the pilot phase. Businesses that progress to the scale-up phase receive additional financial assistance ranging from EUR100,000 (US$113,000) to EUR120,000 (US4136,000).
Co-creation is a key component of both phases of the program, involving hand-in-hand collaboration between social entrepreneurs and Boehringer Ingelheim employees who volunteer their time and expertise to pilot and scale-up projects.
The deadline for applications is January 31.
