Applications are now available for the latest Venture for Africa bootcamp.
Venture for Africa, a talent community and the continent’s foremost source for top tech startup recruits, has launched applications for its second bootcamp session.
Venture for Africa is a community designed to help top global talent transition into roles within the African tech startup ecosystem. Its flagship three-month fellowship exposes participants to local market nuances, provides expert-led training specific to key roles, and connects them with leading startups looking to hire now.
The organization collaborates with companies to co-create its programs, which include practical projects for fellows to complete, expert-led seminars in certain areas, and the ability to fast-track fellows through the interview process for their dream career following completion of the learning activities.
The Go-To-Market program is the latest addition to the VFA Bootcamp Series, following the success of the inaugural Fintech Product Management program, which is now in its second cohort.
The 10-week Go-To-Market Bootcamp is designed to turn participants into growth assets by giving them a better grasp of the fundamental functions and abilities required throughout the revenue side of the organization. Conducting market and customer research, examining the competitive landscape, brand messaging and positioning, product/service pricing and adaptation, developing launch marketing strategies, building partnerships, developing a sales pipeline, and much more are all covered in the program. Participants will be able to apply knowledge from several areas to their own specializations.
Participants will be assigned readings, tasks, and real-world field work each week, as well as attend online masterclasses conducted by seasoned industry experts relevant to each topic. Engaging content, practical use cases, and stimulating deliverables will be investigated in order to hone all of the abilities required for go-to-market.
The program will be open to people who are already working in their chosen sector as well as those who want to go into it. Participants with strong strategic and operational skills who want to gain more experience working in growth and revenue teams, as well as mid-level individuals with deeper experience working in marketing, sales, product, finance, or legal roles at an African tech startup who want to advance to more senior positions, are ideal candidates.
“The Go-To-Market Bootcamp skills are essential for core team members in any business looking to launch or scale in African markets.” “We’ve seen high demand for a similar offering in this space since launching our Product Bootcamp last year, and we’re excited to bring it to life, led by experienced talent from some of the world’s best-known tech businesses,” said Venture For Africa co-founder Thea Sokolowski.
After the bootcamp, Venture for Africa will use its extensive network to place participants who have proven to be excellent prospects for mid-level and senior jobs in growth and expansion with top firms looking to hire.
