Young African entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the 2025 Anzisha Prize.
The 2025 Anzisha Prize, which grants access to advantages, services, and prize money, is now accepting applications from young African business owners.
In order to boost the number of job-generating businesses in Africa, the African Leadership Academy, in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, administers the Anzisha Prize.
For a multi-year fellowship program, 35 outstanding entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 and 22 will be chosen. Fellows will receive tools to help them grow and expand their businesses, business mentoring, and experiential learning.
Companies who exhibit exceptional development and initiative are awarded with cash stipends, cloud services, and short courses, among other incentives and services. At the conclusion of the second year, entrepreneurs will present their companies and achievements in an attempt to earn a portion of the US$50,000 in awards.
The main rewards are divided into four categories: revenue growth, narrative, system and process integration, and job creation. Upon completion of the fellowship, the fellows will graduate and become part of the esteemed alumni network of the Anzisha Prize.
Green enterprises are being given special consideration for the Anzisha Prize this year. “We are seeking enthusiastic people who are addressing environmental issues with creative and sustainable business solutions,” stated Didi Onwu, the Anzisha Prize’s managing editor.
Applications are open here until November 8.
