WhatsApp is Working on a Button to Enable You Edit Sent Messages
You’ll be able to edit text messages you’ve already sent in the near future. On the Meta-owned messaging network Whatsapp, this has been one of the most desired features.
For the time being, users must either append an asterisk to a sent message or erase the entire message to correct typos.
The edit button will be a more efficient means of correcting your spelling mistakes.
When you long-press a sent message, a three-dot menu appears with choices including copy, modify, and info, as shown below. You can now make changes to the text and resend it.
The test does not show if there will be a time limit or if the recipient will be told if a text has been modified, with the ability to view the original text (revision history), as Telegram does.
This feature will be accessible to WhatsApp beta users on Android, iOS, and the web initially.
Other characteristics WhatsApp is updating its ephemeral Status feature’s interface, working on providing a subscription option for WhatsApp Business users, and working on enabling companion Android devices with its multi-device function.
Emoji message reactions, customized last seen controls, a larger file limit, and group video conversations with more participants are among the new features that are presently being rolled out to users.
