Twitter Circle Feature is now Available to all Users
Twitter has announced that as of today, all users now have access to Twitter Circle.
The feature was initially available to a small number of users in May, but anyone with an account can now create a Circle.
Twitter Circles are simply a collection of a user’s most trusted followers. The user has control over which followers are allowed into their Circle. When a user marks a tweet for their Circle, it is hidden from the user’s other followers outside the circle, and any replies to the tweet are private, even if the user’s account is set to public. Tweets sent to a user’s Circle cannot be retweeted or shared in any other way.
The Twitter Circle feature is now available to all users on iOS, Android, and Twitter.com. According to the company, users who have used Twitter Circle say it makes Twitter a more safe, more private place to be, where they can express themselves without fear of harassment or bullying from a Twitter outrage mob. Twitter Circle users also increased their overall tweeting and received more engagement on their Twitter Circle tweets, according to the company.
A user can add up to 150 followers to their Twitter Circle and change them at any time without being notified of the change. Twitter Circle is now available to all users. When users compose a new tweet, they will see the option to create a Circle. More information about Twitter Circle can be found here.
