The Japan Innovation Bridge Launch Event is Open to African Startups, Accelerators and Incubators
African startups, accelerators, and incubators are invited to the Japan Innovation Bridge (J-Bridge) Launch event with the theme: “The Future of Innovation in Africa – Securing Business Opportunities Through Collaboration with Japanese Companies” by the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
A business platform called Japan Innovation Bridge (J-Bridge) is being developed to enable worldwide open innovation and collaboration between Japanese and foreign businesses in both the digital and green industries. METI and JETRO introduced the Japan Innovation Bridge in 2021. (J-Bridge).
The event’s organizers claim that it will highlight the emerging innovations in Africa and the local startup scene that is nurturing them. It will also provide examples of cutting-edge partnerships between Japanese and African businesses as well as promising local startups that are eager to work together.
METI and JETRO took advantage of the Eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8) to expand the J-Bridge service deployment region to Africa starting in April 2022 in order to advance this project.
As a result, METI and JETRO have chosen to host a J-Bridge Africa Launch Event for incubators, accelerators, and companies before TICAD8 to honor this.
As a catalyst for economic progress, the number of startups, accelerators, and incubators operating in Africa has grown significantly in recent years. Significantly more money has been invested in startups, and numerous partnerships with businesses from outside of Africa have also been formed.
Leading and interested African entrepreneurs, accelerators, and incubators are invited to participate in the launch, the organizers hope.
CCHub and the other participants would be discussed in the panel’s discussion and in the ongoing conversation.
