The 5th annual $100k GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition is now accepting applications.
Applications are now being accepted for the fifth annual US$100,000 GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition from youth-led agri-food firms in Africa.
The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition, which identifies and supports creative, high-potential agribusinesses, has established itself as the largest annual agripreneurship competition in Africa.
At the AGRF Summit, which will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in September, a final pitch competition will be presented live on stage. One man and one woman, both young African entrepreneurs, will receive US$50,000 apiece to hasten their ascent to scale.
“The biggest and most significant opportunity in Africa is in agriculture. We encourage African youth to seize this chance with both hands, especially given the influence of developing technology in the field, said Dickson Naftali, head of Generation Africa, the organization that organized the tournament. “Our best chance for a prosperous continent free from hunger and malnutrition is an African-led agrifood sector, but we must better, more sustainably, and more responsibly develop our agrifood sector.”
You can apply online until June 19.
