South African Fintech Startup, LifeCheq Raises $2.5 Million From Naspers Foundry
Through its early-stage tech investment company Naspers Foundry, Naspers has led a $2.5 million investment in LifeCheq, a fintech platform that enables financial advisers to provide quality, complete financial advice.
Since its debut in 2018, LifeCheq has provided financial planning and help to over 45,000 people in South Africa.
LifeCheq’s AI-powered platform can help financial advisors improve client experience and productivity. Its platform combines integrated workflows and an online dashboard to give clients a single place to manage their personal finances as well as set and track financial goals.
“We are committed to aiding firms that make a real contribution to society,” stated Naspers’ South African CEO, Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa. LifeCheq can offer previously underserved South Africans holistic, personalised financial advice. People are empowered to take charge of their finances thanks to LifeCheq, which improves their financial well-being and social inclusion. This investment is in line with our approach of focusing on technology firms with a clear purpose.”
This round of funding will be used to develop new technologies and capabilities that will allow LifeCheq to scale its platform, improve its partner experience, and extend its customer base.
