Liquid Technologies Announces Africa’s first Cyber Security Fusion Centres in South Africa
Today, July 20, 2022, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Liquid Cyber Security, a Cassava Technologies subsidiary, opened the first of their matrix of Cyber Security Fusion Centres.
Africa faces an expanding range of cyberthreats, from espionage to critical infrastructure sabotage, combat innovation, and organized crime. The majority of African nations, however, have not yet created a national cybersecurity policy.
Despite some cybersecurity shortcomings, the government in South Africa seems to be making headway in this area. One is that it has one of just 28 cybersecurity policies in the world.
In reaction to the rising frequency of cyberattacks, David Behr, CEO of Liquid Cloud and Cyber Security, launched Liquid Cyber Security in 2020.
As a result, organizations and authorities in Africa will have access to Liquid’s network of Security Fusion Centres situated in important marketplaces.
In order to mitigate the threat to customers, the corporation intends to respond to threats utilizing a strategic, tactical, technical, and operational threat intelligence approach.
The previous Liquid Cloud Operations and Liquid Network Operation Centers will be combined into these centers, which will offer threat intelligence and ensure that customers have complete end-to-end security support for networks, clouds, and cyber security.
The organization thinks that by removing silos and enhancing threat visibility, they would foster better teamwork and strengthen cyber resilience. Additionally, businesses can keep ahead of cyberattacks with the combined offering of security consultancy, managed service, and integrated cyber intelligence.
When fully operational, according to Behr, the centers will make use of their capacity to monitor and foresee threats across the continent. This capacity will be boosted by the capacities of its international partners, including Microsoft, ITC Secure, and Xcitium.
