Ingressive Capital provides funding to Nigeria’s Mecho Autotech
Mecho Autotech, a Nigerian startup, has received an undisclosed amount of funding from venture capital firm Ingressive Capital in order to improve the quality and reliability of auto care services.
Mecho, founded in 2019 and launched in April of this year, is a car technician matching platform that enables car owners to easily maintain and repair their vehicles.
“We hope to solve the problem and bridge the gap between car owners, quality repair services, and maintenance,” CEO Olusegun Owoade said.
The investment from Ingressive Capital, a seed-stage investment firm based in Nigeria, will help introduce the startup to large organizations and accelerate its growth.
“The collaboration is extremely beneficial to our company’s efforts to actively build out a sales pipeline and business development.” This is due to the fact that Ingressive Capital will provide assistance and networking opportunities by introducing Mecho to large companies with large fleets. “I am overjoyed because this will accelerate Mecho’s growth,” said Owoade.
Mecho was chosen earlier this year as one of the African startups to participate in the S21 batch of the renowned Silicon Valley-based Y Combinator accelerator.
