Google Launches Wearable, Mobile, and Smart Home Technologies
Google will release new technology next month in time for holiday preorders.
Mark October 6th on your calendars because Google will unveil new phones, devices, and even their first wristwatch at the Made By Google event in New York.
Even if the event is only open to press members in person, you can still watch it live online if you live in the United States, the United Kingdom, or Australia. Please do not be concerned if you are elsewhere. To watch the live feed, go to their YouTube channel. So get ready to be wowed, grab a cup of coffee, and fire up the laptop.
What can Made By Google event attendees expect to see?
The Nest product line will be the first to be expanded. These smart home technologies can be used to stream music, set timers and alarms, play video games, watch shows, and automate many daily tasks, such as controlling your home’s temperature. Devices like the Nest Cam and Nest Doorbell allow you to monitor your home while you’re away for added security and peace of mind. It will be interesting to see how Google improves their Nest smart home suite.
Two new phones were announced during their preview at the I/O developer conference in May 2022, and will be unveiled during this live event.
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be available for purchase on October 6th. The company claims that the new Tensor G2 processor will add “personalised features to photographs, videos, security, and speech recognition” in both phones, which will both run and be powered by Android version 13. In comparison to the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 7 will have three rear cameras. In comparison to the previous design’s black bar, which abruptly ended at the borders, the camera bar is more streamlined, made of aluminum, and will undoubtedly be an improvement.
The first smartwatch created and manufactured by Google will be unveiled at the Made By Google event.
It’s called the Google Pixel Watch, and it’s designed to work with any Pixel or Android phone, as well as the wired Pixel Buds. According to the Google blog, the Google Pixel Watch was created as a result of Google’s desire to combine its “helpfulness and Fitbit’s expertise in health and fitness” following its acquisition of FitBit in 2021.
All of these products will be available on October 6, 2022, the day of the Made By Google event. They can be purchased online through the Google Store. If you live near New York City, you can also get them at one of the two nearby Google stores, but you should get there early because they will most likely sell out quickly. Google is counting down the days until this significant update is released.
