Applications are now being accepted for OceanHub Africa’s 6th accelerator program.

The sixth iteration of the 12-month OceanHub Africa accelerator is now accepting applications. Over the course of two intakes, the accelerator will support up to 24 of Africa’s most promising impact for-profit enterprises that are dedicated to protecting and restoring the health of the ocean.
OceanHub Africa seeks to assist and foster profit-driven, ecologically conscientious companies that fight ocean pollution, overexploitation, and global warming.
“Our accelerator is committed to nurturing environmentally conscious and profitable ventures. We strive to foster an economy that effectively combats global warming, overexploitation, and pollution of the oceans. Leveraging our extensive network of stakeholders and facilitators, we offer an innovative hybrid programme. This programme is designed to identify sustainable pathways that ensure stable profits (ROIs) and opportunities for scalable growth across Africa,” organisers said.
Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis for the sixth cohort of the 12-month acceleration program, which will support up to 24 enterprises over two intakes in March and July.
Ventures can connect with top ocean experts, mentors, self-development coaches, alumni, impact investors, and possible clients and partners by joining the OceanHub Africa portfolio, which gives them access to a worldwide ocean-impact ecosystem. Additionally, they will get practical assistance to hasten their development.
A week-long in-person bootcamp, in-person attendance at the yearly Ocean Innovation Africa Summit, and remote sessions utilizing online resources and communication techniques are all part of the hybrid-format curriculum.
Along with more than US$40,000 in mechanical engineering design software licenses for prototype and virtual testing provided by 3DExperience Lab, the package also includes up to US$75,000 in AWS credits.
