New programme launched to help women, youth thrive in Nigeria’s creative sector
Venture Garden Group (VGG), a Nigerian VC company, is partnering with Ascend Studios and USAID to create innovative and capable projects to help women and young people thrive in Nigeria’s creative sector.
Africa Creative Blueprint strengthens Nigerian youth with the skills and resources they need to compete in the creative industry and elevates Nigerian creatives to the international stage.
It offers dynamic, hands-on training to enhance Africa’s creative economy. Once completed, 200 skilled participants will participate in the production of a 13-episode TV drama, creating more than 200 full-time and part-time jobs during the production.
Along with other partners including Paramount Nigeria and the well-known music executive Ralph Simon, the alliance will spur more money to support Nigeria’s developing Nollywood sector.
As the CEO and co-founder of Venture Garden Group, Bunmi Akinyemiju stated, “We are always dedicated to efforts that nurture the promising talents Africa possesses.” “This partnership marks a significant turning point for the Nigerian creative industry and gives Venture Garden Group a chance to promote African innovation internationally. We are constructing the necessary infrastructure with this project in order to produce top-tier creative talent that has the potential to revolutionize the sector.
