Apply for the 2nd Cohort of the DMZ Cairo Incubator
Applications for the second year of DMZ’s incubator program, which aims to support early-stage tech startups, are now open.
DMZ Cairo, which will open in 2021, will provide the next generation of tech entrepreneurs with the tools they need to build, launch, and scale highly impactful startups in Egypt’s capital. The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) and the National Technological Incubators programme support DMZ Cairo, which is located on the UofCanada Campus in the New Administrative Capital (INTILAC).
The incubator’s first and only cycle is currently underway, and it includes seven tech startups from the travel, legal, advertising, construction, health, and e-commerce verticals. Let’s, Contrato, ElMoqawel, Boarda, Pharmezi, EIIN, and Inks on Things are among the startups expected to pitch at the first DMZ Cairo demo day in September.
According to the incubator, it offers a high-impact, high-intensity, and highly tailored program that includes fully-furnished workspaces, one-on-one guidance from dedicated program leads and mentors, peer-to-peer sessions, expert-led workshops, networking opportunities, and access to the North American startup ecosystem.
The application period for the second cycle is open until September 29, with the program starting in November.
