Kendi Ntwiga, Former Microsoft Kenya Country Director Joins Meta as the Global Head of Misrepresentation
Kendi Ntwiga has been named Global Head of Misrepresentation of Meta owners of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp after her departure from Microsoft Kenya, where she served as Country Leader.
Her appointment began in May, and she will be stationed in Ireland.
Kendi will strive to push for operational processes to scale Meta’s enforcement of community standards, according to a statement announcing the news.
Kendi will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Engineering and Product Development, as well as teams in Global Operations, to develop protocols and other operations for her new role.
Kendi previously worked at Check Point Software Technologies as the General Manager of the East, West, and Central Africa Cluster.
She has held executive positions at Oracle, HP, and Intel in the past.
She is also a community service champion. For example, the US government designated Kendi as an Emerging Leader in Innovation and Entrepreneurship under the TechWomen initiative.
She is also the originator of She-Goes-Tech, a program that encourages young girls and women to pursue STEM courses and careers.
She was recognized as one of Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Women Leaders in 2019.
Former Microsoft Kenya ADC Head Jack Ngare has since left for Google. At the end of May 2022, he was replaced by Catherine Muraga.
