Telegram Rolls Out New Features to Android, iOS Users
Telegram is getting an update with a slew of new features.
A download manager to control downloads, a new attachment menu to share documents and re-arrange media albums before sending, and new streaming tools to turn a Telegram channel into a TV station are among the new features.
In addition, semi-transparent headers are being added to the Android app. Furthermore, there is a new way to send t.me links to your phone number in order to initiate chats. The most recent update also includes a new login flow on macOS and Android, as well as new t.me pages.
Telegram announced the update via a blog post that includes instructions on how to use the new features. As previously stated, the update includes a new download manager.
When a user downloads a file from Telegram, a new download icon appears in the search bar. This allows users to pause or resume all downloads or individual items, as well as change the priority of a download. In addition, there is a new attachment menu that allows you to preview, remove, and rearrange a media album before sending it.
In order to facilitate searching, the Files tab will also display recently sent files. Transparent headers that work in night mode are now available on Android devices thanks to the latest update. Another change is the new animations in the login flow on both Android and macOS.
The app’s most recent update includes a new feature for supporting Telegram live streams. Users can now broadcast from streaming tools such as OBS Studio and XSplit Broadcaster, effectively transforming the Telegram channel into a TV station.
