BarCamp Lagos, which is one in a series of Barcamp events ,an international organization of unconferences that focus on internet technology and culture known for being democratically run, planned by volunteers, free to attend, and participatory in nature. BarCamp which is known for being an event where geeks of all shapes and sizes can teach, learn, and develop new ideas.
In a press release for the Barcamp Lagos 2011, Nigeria, the organizers said, we are so excited to make this happen this year. Last year was super-successful and we surely believe we can replicate and surpass that this year. Last year, we discussed about local content, this year we will focus on start-ups, mobile revolution, e-payments, business and monetization. We do recognize these are some of the challenges we are facing in the industry. We will bring those who have experience building technology business from scratch to taking it public.
