WhatsApp is planning to add message reaction feature for users
WhatsApp is said to be iterating on the rumored message reactions functionality. This has previously been discovered, and it appears to allow users to respond to a single message in a chat.
A new reaction info page has been discovered in development, allowing users to simply identify who reacted to a message. Message reactions are said to be available in both individual and group chat threads. WhatsApp’s future feature would most likely allow users to respond to messages with different emoticons.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp intends to include the ability to respond to messages in a future update. This feature is claimed to be in the works, and it may not be included in the most recent beta. While reactions appear beneath the message, there is a separate reaction details tab that allows users to see who reacted to a message.
The informant provided a screenshot of the new reaction info tab. All reactions are presented in the first tab, “All,” followed by WhatsApp groups that reacted to a message with a specific emoji in a separate tab. According to WABetaInfo, a user will only be allowed to respond to a given message once, and responses will be restricted to six emojis.
The feature was discovered while developing WhatsApp beta for iOS, but WhatsApp is allegedly also working on bringing the same capability to WhatsApp beta for Android.
WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for Desktop users now have access to a new custom sticker tool that allows them to make stickers from photographs on their computer. This feature is now being rolled out to Mac and PC users.
Previously, users had to utilize third-party apps to create their own stickers before submitting them to WhatsApp. It is unclear when it will be available for Android or iOS users.
