Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni Introduces Digital Portal to Protect Investors
The Electronic Investors Protection Portal (EIPP), a digital portal created to protect Ugandan investment procedures, was introduced by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The portal, an initiative of the State House Investors Protection Unit led by Col. Edith Nakalema, will provide investors with access to reliable government sources, guidance, and a thorough reporting mechanism for their questions and complaints. It will also provide strong enforcement and follow-up on issues that investors report, along with regular investor feedback.
In order to accommodate investors who do not speak English, it will also provide a useful link between investors and pertinent Ministries, Departments, and Agencies as well as language translation capabilities.
President Museveni praised Col. Nakalema for his initiative during the portal’s commissioning. Col. Nakalema’s initiative has proven useful in supporting Uganda’s historical mission of creating prosperity, which is now achieved through producing a good or service and selling it to investors or employees.
The event was held at Entebbe’s State House.
