TECNO MOBILE showcases its Latest Innovative Mobile Devices at the West African Information and Communications Technology Congress and Exhibition (WAFICT 2013)
At the 5th West African Information and Communications Technology Congress and Exhibition (WAFCIT) organized by Africa’s foremost ICT Magazine, IT & Telecom Digest, stakeholders in the ICT and Telecom sectors from the region gathered for two days to discuss impediments to digital dividends in West Africa under the theme: “Bringing Digital Dividends to West Africa: Tackling the Challenges posed by Legal and Regulatory Frameworks.”
This year’s edition of WAFCIT enjoyed the attendance of the dignitaries such as: Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki Salisu Nakande (a former Minister of Communications Nigeria), Mr. Emeka Mba, (DG National Broadcasting Commission), Mr. Tony Ojobo (Director Public Relatons of the Nigerian Communications Commission), Ms.Funke Opeke (CEO Mainone), Engr Lanre Ajayi (President ATCON), Engr. Gbenga Adebayo (President of ALTON), Dr Emmauel Ekuwem, (CEO Teledom Group), Mr Teniola Olusola (CEO Internet Solutions Nigeria) and representatives of telecommunications companies like MTN and Airtel. Other attendants were representatives from technology focused businesses, companies, exhibitors and students.
Mr Mkpe Abang, the Editor in Chief, IT & Telecom Digest stated in his welcoming speech that since its explosive debut in 2009, WAFICT continues to hold the mace as the leading ICT conference for Africa. In his own words, “For the past four years, regulators, operators as well as all stakeholders in the industry have seized the opportunities offered by this great platform to design and shape the future of ICT in West Africa through incisive and insightful deliberations that offer pragmatic solutions to challenges facing the industry.

Mr Soffack Sonna, the BTL Specialist for West Africa expressed the excitement of the TECNO Telecom team in its participation in the WAFICT 2013 edition. He went further to give voice
to their sole aim of showing people their latest innovative products. Their exhibition stand was adorned with 13 different Smartphone models notably, the Phantom A+, Phantom A2, Phantom A3, the Phantom Pad mini. The phones on display were of different screen sizes and processor speeds to suit different consumer needs.
The crowd Tecno Mobile’s stand drew at the exhibition showed that the brand owns a comprehensive product portfolio in the market and the praises it has enjoyed from customers were absolutely justified.
