Tech Company of the Week: Shecluded
Founded in 2019 by Ifeoma Uddoh, Shecluded is Africa’s first female-focused Fintech company that provides funding (debt and equity), asset-building tools, and financial education for African women.
They are focused on bridging the inequality gap by providing equal opportunities and a level playing field for women to dream and become.
They provide female entrepreneurs with growth loans and financial literacy resources to help them scale their businesses and build assets.
Moreso, they provide insurance that protects the growth they aim to promote.
Shecluded secured equity-free grant funding from Google for Startups through the Black Founders Fund Africa to help them drive financial inclusion for African women in 2021.
In a recent development, the Fintech company launched Shecluded Hub and celebrated the successful completion of the first cohort of its Route to Scale Accelerator Programme.
The former is a transformative collaborative coworking, training, corporate event, and content creation space exclusively designed for female entrepreneurs.
Boasting a community of over 3,000 members, over 3,500 women have received their loans, and around 400 businesses have been launched through their platform.
They aim to invest $1.3 billion in loans to 200,000 Black women entrepreneurs over the next ten years.
