Nigeria’s Autochek Partners With Kenya’s Pezesha to Offer Kenyan SMEs Affordable Asset Financing
Autochek, a Nigerian auto-tech firm, has collaborated with Pezesha, a Kenyan fintech, to provide asset financing to SMEs in Kenya.
Autochek’s goal is to create digital solutions that will improve and enable a seamless and secure automobile commerce experience across Africa, beginning with Nigeria and Ghana.
It intends to employ technology to improve African consumers’ automotive purchasing and selling experiences by creating a single platform for all of their automotive needs, from sourcing and financing to after-sales service and warranties.
Autochek has collaborated with Pezesha to enable SMEs to buy auto assets for convenience of business operations and expansion, after expanding to Kenya late last year. Pezesha, which began operations in late 2016, has built a comprehensive digital financial infrastructure that connects small and medium-sized businesses to working capital provided by banks, microfinance institutions, and other financial institutions or networks.
“While Autochek has mostly concentrated on financing retail clients, we are thrilled to collaborate with Pezesha, whose primary goal is to facilitate SME loans.” “Autochek will continue to invest in the market while looking for new partnerships to develop solutions for driving positive change in the automotive sector in Kenya and beyond,” said Bilhah Muriithi, Autochek’s Kenya country manager.
