Networks Unlimited keeps supporting children at Tembisa school during holiday season
Networks Unlimited, a subsidiary of Exclusive Networks, has continued its end-of-year tradition of assisting the students and parents of Nokuphila School in Tembisa, Midrand.
According to Managing Director Anton Jacobsz, the school is a beneficiary of the non-profit educational organization The Love Trust, which is Networks Unlimited’s 53 percent broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) partner. This collaboration enables the organization to further its goal of assisting vulnerable children by providing practical and educational assistance.
“Times have obviously been very difficult for many local companies and individuals over the last two years,” Jacobsz explained, “and this has filtered down even more so to the most vulnerable members of our communities.” Nokuphila School, which operates under the auspices of The Love Trust, provides quality education to underprivileged and vulnerable children, as well as nutrition and transportation.”
Employees from Networks Unlimited’s marketing team recently visited the school and donated 38 grocery food packs, which included mostly everyday necessities like fruit juice, tea, sugar, flour, vegetables, pasta, and maize. Networks Unlimited employees made the donation as individuals, with a significant portion coming from the Cybersecurity Business Unit.
Mabel Sikhakhane, the school’s Head of Department, clarified: “The food parcels are much needed by the families that the Nokuphila School supports.” We serve meals and food parcels to our most vulnerable families on a weekly basis. The meal provided is often the only source of food for many students throughout the day, so during the holiday season, the children often have no meals at all, which is why these parcels are sorely needed.
“The parents who received the packages were overjoyed. It is clear that the work of The Love Trust, Literacy for Life, and Nokuphila in these communities is critical, and the residents are grateful for their efforts.”
“As a cyber security company, we believe in providing security in all aspects, from cybersecurity for businesses to quality-of-life security for vulnerable individuals,” Jacobsz added. “We would like to thank our sponsors Fortinet, SentinelOne, and Tenable, as well as everyone who helped make this initiative a reality.”
“We are delighted to continue our support for Nokuphila School and The Love Trust.” Because hungry children cannot grow, learn, or develop optimally, demonstrating our care and concern extends beyond educational needs. “We are humbled to play a role in ensuring that these vulnerable children and families are nutritionally cared for during the holiday season,” he concluded.
