Meta Announces Creator Lab Live in Nigeria for Budding Creators
A first-of-its-kind educational in-person program for innovators in Nigeria was held by Meta. The Creator Lab, which attracted over 40 young and aspiring makers, gave them the chance to interact with other creators and learn from specialists.
A foundational program to support aspiring and emerging creators as they traverse their paths and careers, The Creator Lab Live is the follow-up to the inaugural Creator Lab edutainment series debuted in March 2022.
Workshops were included in the program to teach participants how to develop interesting content, expand their communities, and use the assortment of Instagram goods.
Moon Baz, Creator Partnerships Lead for Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey, Meta, stated at the Creator Lab, “We are excited to launch Creator Lab Live in Nigeria, a first-of-its-kind by Instagram to support emerging and aspiring creators to grow on Instagram.”
“We recognise the amazing content they create across our family of apps and are committed to helping creators to grow their communities and make a living across our platforms. As we work toward shaping the future of digital content and experiences, we are excited and invested in giving creators a home base to build community and create engaging content through various content formats and creative tools.” She added.
Rofhiwa Maneta, Strategic Partner Manager, Creators, Sub-Saharan Africa, Meta, offered insightful advice on how creators may sharpen their content creation abilities and the best ways to use Instagram capabilities during the event. He also discussed how the community has guidelines in place to protect creators from harm and how to monetize your work using Meta technology.

As part of the celebration, content producers were urged to use the hashtag #PositiveVibesOnlyChallenge to produce works that demonstrate optimism. The contest provided a fantastic opportunity for the creators to spread optimism, improve the world, and encourage more people to post uplifting material on Instagram.
During the session, there was also a fireside talk where tips on “How to keep relevant in the creator space” were exchanged. There was Amarachi Amusi (ashmusy) on the panel. On Instagram, Amusi emphasized the value of authenticity, reliability, and inventiveness.
She said, “It has been an incredible experience learning, connecting, and developing content with other young talented creators in Nigeria. Instagram has become a home and hub for creators to build a community that encourages growth. The Creator Lab has highlighted the importance of creating unique, short, and entertaining content using various features on Instagram to excite an ever-growing online community.”
The Creator Lab Live was attended by talented content creators with various skills such as Taaooma, Markangelcomedy, Ayomidate, Frank iTom, Miss Techy, De General, Twinz_love, Lizzy Jay, and Geenafoodiesandspice, who were also part of the #PositiveVibesOnlyChallenge.
