Listening Controls are now available for Premium YouTube Users on Andriod, iOS
According to reports, YouTube Premium subscribers on Android and iOS will soon be able to use the ‘Listening Controls’ feature. The new feature gives users more control over their music listening experience on the platform. It allows you to play, pause, fast forward, and rewind videos.
When you enable this new feature, it will replace everything that appears beneath the video and will remain even if you switch to a different video. If they prefer, YouTube app users can save new songs to a playlist using the listening controls.
According to Google, the listening controls feature is now widely available for YouTube Android and iOS users. According to the report, the feature is only available to YouTube Premium subscribers. It is currently said to be available for users in the United States. The new feature is accessible by clicking the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the YouTube video. Select ‘Listening Controls’ from the options that pop up from the bottom.
The new Listening Controls widget is said to replace everything that appears at the bottom of YouTube videos inside the Android and iOS apps. It includes controls for playing and pausing a video, moving on to the next one, and returning to the previous one.
You can fast forward or rewind the video by 10 seconds and even save it to a playlist. The Like button is also available on the Listening Controls widget. According to the report, the listening controls are persistent and remain even when users change to a new video from the Home feed, search, and so on.
Those who want to hide the ‘Up next’ and comments feeds from YouTube for Android and iOS apps can use the listening controls feature. However, for the time being, this feature is only available to paid subscribers. It is unclear whether or not it will be made available to free users in the future.
