Instagram Adds Bulk Delete Capabilities and a slew of New Account Controls
As part of its Safer Internet Day initiatives, Instagram has rolled out a set of new features to make it easier for users to remove posts, comments, and other activity from the platform.
Users can now delete comments and posts in bulk, review past interactions on their account, and search for content by date with the new account controls unveiled by the Meta-owned photo-sharing app.
These features are accessible through a new section of a user’s profile called Your Activity. Take a Break was introduced by Instagram earlier this month.
Instagram users can now bulk delete or archive all of their content, including posts, Stories, IGTV, and Reels, as well as interactions such as comments, likes, story sticker reactions, and so on. In the Your Activity section, users will also be able to filter their content and interactions by date and search for past comments, likes, and story replies from specific date ranges.
Users can also find recently archived or deleted content, view search history, view the links you’ve visited, as well as the amount of time you’ve spent on the platform, and download your data with the current rollout. These features eliminate the need to manually sift through every single post in order to take action.

To access Your Activity, go to your profile and tap the menu button in the upper right corner, where the option will be visible.
Since the end of last year, Instagram has been testing the feature. The new features, according to the photo-sharing app, are part of its efforts to keep users and their accounts safer and to give users more control over their activities.
Instagram launched the Take a Break feature earlier this month. The feature allows users to set up reminders to take a break from scrolling after a certain amount of time and can be enabled or disabled by all service users. Take a Break will be added to Instagram’s existing Daily Limit feature, which allows users to set a daily time limit for how much time they want to spend on the app.
