Get It Done Now, a Nigerian fintech and commerce startup, has expanded to Spain
After experiencing rapid growth, Nigerian startup Get It Done Now, a mobile fintech e-commerce platform where users can access services, loans, and insurance, is expanding to Spain.
Get It Done Now, founded in mid-2018 by Alberto Rodriguez and Bode Bamgboye after they met while studying for an MBA at the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, allows users to book and pay for handymen as well as access financial services such as loans and insurance.
“It is aimed at the African population so that they can obtain secure and safe services, both physical and digital, and also finance the purchase of those services,” Rodriquez told Disrupt Africa.
The platform’s one-stop shop approach, which provides access to both services and financial products, has proven popular. Get It Done Now has over 5,000 users and has received over $2 million in loan requests.
“We have over 120 services on the platform and over 5,000 transactions.” We believe this is just the beginning. “Get It Done Now takes care of a necessity,” Rodriguez explained.
It has also piqued the interest of investors. The startup, which was self-funded at the outset, has since been joined by four investors, three from Nigeria and one from Europe. It is now discussing a new round of funding after securing its most recent investment in February.
Get It Done Now, which had previously operated solely in Nigeria, has recently expanded to Spain. Rodriguez’s home market, as well as the location where the startup’s founders met, but also a viable opportunity for other reasons.
“Spain, along with France and Italy, is the most important country in Europe for African migrants.” It has also assisted us in establishing a base there and having more options for fundraising,” he said.
Complete the Task Now operates on a commission-based revenue model, with Rodriquez claiming that revenues are strong and growing.
“The growth potential is extremely high, and as proof of this, we have received 500% more loan requests in 2021 than in the entire year of 2020,” he said.
