develoPPP Ventures Announces $107k Funding Grant for Innovative African Startups

develoPPP Ventures

Startups in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania have been given the opportunity to scale their impact-driven businesses and receive up to EUR100,000 (US$107,000) in grant funding from develoPPP Ventures.

develoPPP Ventures, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and administered by DEG Impulse, strives to empower businesses through entrepreneurial support and subsidies.

The program’s latest cohort is now accepting applications from entrepreneurs in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania that have innovative business models and a long-term economic, ecological, or social effect in these countries. In keeping with the BMZ’s emphasis on female empowerment, the initiative welcomes applications from women-led enterprises and firms supporting gender equality.

Because the grant is intended for growth investments, firms that apply should have completed a proof of concept and are ready to scale.

Applications are being accepted here until June 30th.
