Cyberchain Conference: Hackathon Competition Registration Is On
The third edition of the Cyberchain Conference, which is a two-day event, will kick off on the 19th of November at the Lagos Oriental Hotel.
With the theme for this year unveiled, the conference will revolve around “Enabling The Digital Economy.”
The Cyberchain convener, Jude Ozinegbe, made it clear during a media parley that the essence of the competition is to discourage unethical hacking among youths. Budding developers and programmers are eligible to apply for the program via cyberchain.com.ng.
Registration began on the 29th of September and will end on the 3rd of October.
The prize for the first position is $1000, while the first and second runner-ups will take $500 and $300 home respectively. Consolation prizes such as smartphones await the fourth and fifth positions.
Obadare Oluwafemi, the Senior Consultant of Digital Encode Nigeria and a panelist said that a lot of cyberattacks happen every week, and it’s important to put security at the forefront.
Regarding whether the eNaira can be traded or not, Seun Dania, the CEO of Tradefada stressed that the company is one of the places where transactions will take place. According to him, Tradefada is a leading Nigeria-based cryptocurrency exchange that operates within the best standard and relies on robust security practices.
Issues such as the digital economy, smart contracts, and cybersecurity will be addressed by seasoned speakers during the conference. Attendees should also look forward to exhibitions, awards, a book launch, and panel sessions.
