Application is now open for EU-funded Ugandan Green Enterprise Accelerator
The fourth and final edition of the European Union (EU)-funded Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator (UGEFA) has opened for applications, which provides sustainable Ugandan enterprises with support to scale and contribute to a green and inclusive economy.
UGEFA is implemented by adelphi Research gGmbH, a leading global independent “think and do tank” on environment and development, and Finding XY, a Uganda-based innovation center and business advisory firm, and is fully funded by the European Union Delegation to Uganda.
UGEFA is looking for high-potential small and medium-sized businesses looking for debt financing to invest in their operations. UGEFA is geared toward SMEs specializing in eco-tourism, clean energy, sustainable transportation, waste management, and green manufacturing, including agro-processing.
Successful applicants will receive capacity-building workshops to assist them in scaling through a series of hands-on interactive sessions to refine their business models, financial system management, and impact measures.
Applications for the program’s final cohort close on April 14.
