AfriLabs and the Korea-Africa Foundation have formed a strategic alliance to promote innovation in Africa.
AfriLabs, an African hubs network, and the Korea-Africa Foundation have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a strategic cooperation that aims to propel innovation and economic growth throughout the continent.
AfriLabs is a network organization that brings together investors, startups, technology hubs, and other important players in the ecosystem with the goal of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship across the continent.
AfriLabs currently has a network of 478 hubs spread across 260 locations in 53 African countries, after announcing the admittance of 16 new hubs lately.
In the meantime, the Korea-Africa Foundation seeks to enhance communication and cooperation with African nations while acting as a forum for interaction between the public and private sectors.
By utilizing one another’s resources and experience, the partnership seeks to close the gap between Korean and African companies. This will be accomplished by sharing knowledge on youth development, starting collaborative research projects, and building a vibrant environment that develops talent and an entrepreneurial spirit in both areas.
“At AfriLabs, we are dedicated to unlocking Africa’s full potential and generating wealth through strategic alliances. This partnership with the Korea-Africa Foundation unlocks a treasure trove of opportunities for startups, granting them access to a global network, invaluable resources, and unparalleled industry knowledge. Together, we will empower the next generation of African innovators and entrepreneurs, paving the way for sustainable development and a thriving economy,” said Anna Ekeledo, executive director of AfriLabs.
