Africa Tech Summit Nairobi unveils 10 investment showcase businesses.
Africa Tech Summit The ten African IT companies chosen to present their creative solutions for possible financing and collaborations during the event on February 12–13 have been announced by Nairobi.
The Sarit Expo Centre will host the Africa Tech Summit Nairobi, powered by Raenest, which will include a business-to-business meeting, prizes, and an exhibition. Africa Money & DeFi Summit, Africa Climate Tech & Investment Summit, Africa Startup Summit, and the Africa Mobile & App Summit are the four main track themes that will be covered.
Ten projects spanning industries like fintech, insurtech, e-health, agri-tech, and cleantech were chosen from over 200 bids received from 24 countries for the event’s investment showcase.
Three of those businesses are based in Nigeria: Pricepally, an e-commerce startup that addresses inefficiencies in the food distribution system; Heala Tech, a digital health platform that expedites healthcare delivery in Africa; and Dojah, an anti-fraud infrastructure platform that helps businesses to identify, stop, and manage fraudulent activities in real-time.
Three more are from Kenya: OnSpace Technologies, a no-code platform that tackles a major issue faced by agricultural SMEs and related industries: the lack of accessible, affordable, and flexible business systems; MaishaPoa, an insurtech startup that offers accessible and affordable micro-insurance solutions; and Duhqa, a B2B platform that links retailers with manufacturers and suppliers.
Additionally chosen are Tanzania’s Bizy Tech, which has created a digital agricultural platform; Rwanda’s JaliKoi, which offers a streamlined method for low- and middle-income earners to obtain financial services; Uganda’s Flow Global, which finances MSMEs in developing nations; and Koolboks (France, Nigeria, and Kenya), which offers pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar-powered refrigeration solutions to underprivileged communities and SMEs.
Andrew Fassnidge, director of Africa Tech Summit, said, “We are thrilled to welcome these ventures to the seventh edition of Africa Tech Summit Nairobi.” “In a difficult funding climate, the ATS Investment Showcase remains a platform for showcasing and connecting investment-ready tech ventures with top venture capitalists.”
