Harnessing the Potentials of the Emerging Markets at the Seed Stars World Event in Geneva
35 Start-ups from 35 Emerging Start-up scenes have already been chosen as the best national startups.Now they are heading to Geneva to compete for half a million dollars in Equity.
It’s no longer news that Emerging Markets like Africa hold the next business frontier to explore and conquer.These economies are growing so fast even with great challenges that most countries in the Emerging Markets face.
With that said, so much is desired to harness the great potentials of these markets so they can benefit with what the times offer.One way to do that is to have great entrepreneurs and businesses emerge from these markets.Seed Stars World is one of such organisations that have realized the need to identify and support starts-ups in 35 countries spread across the Emerging markets including Africa.
Few months ago,the SSW team through a keenly contested competition selected promising Start-ups with great potentials to become world class companies.This is very commendable having monitored the SSW event in Nigeria-the biggest economy in Africa,I was so excited at what the SSW team is doing.
As a follow up to this Global tour to identify and support these great businesses around the world,come February 4th 2015 in Geneva-Switzerland,the overall winner from these national competitions will be selected.The winning Start-up will receive $500,000 in investment.
