After Half a Decade of Growth, Krishnan Ranganath Moves On from Africa Data Centres
Dr. Krishnan Ranganath, who served as Regional Executive for West Africa at Africa Data Centres (ADC), has left the company after five years of exceptional growth. ADC is Africa’s largest network of interconnected, carrier- and cloud-neutral data centre facilities.
The news was confirmed through a LinkedIn post, where Dr. Ranganath shared that after more than five years of transformative leadership, he’s stepping away to begin a new professional chapter.
Looking back on his time with the company, Dr. Ranganath described a journey marked by resilience and a dedication to building infrastructure for the future.
“What started as a mission to navigate the complexities of a new market has evolved into a chapter of immense growth. We didn’t just build data centres; we built the foundation for West Africa’s digital future. I am immensely proud of the culture of operational excellence we’ve fostered and the milestones we have achieved together,” Dr. Ranganath said.
Dr. Ranganath came to ADC during a critical period, with the responsibility of establishing the brand as a major player in West Africa’s competitive market. Under his leadership, the region transformed from an ambitious experiment into a powerhouse of digital infrastructure, growing from its first rack installation to becoming a trusted partner in colocation and cloud services.
Throughout his five years, Dr. Ranganath focused on several strategic priorities. He spearheaded market entry and expansion, turning regulatory and environmental challenges into competitive advantages. He drove infrastructure excellence, scaling operations from basic setups into a high-capacity powerhouse.
