GSMA unveils new Innovation Fund to empower AI innovations
The GSMA Innovation Fund is providing customized venture-building assistance and grants of up to GBP250,000 (US$310,000) to businesses that are utilizing AI and cutting-edge technologies to bring about revolutionary change.
Small and emerging businesses in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs) in Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific are the focus of the GSMA Innovation Fund for Impactful AI, which is in collaboration with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
The program strives to solve a crucial global challenge – ensuring LMICs are not left behind in the AI revolution and can utilize emerging and mobile technologies to foster equitable and sustainable development.
Over the course of 15 to 18 months, grants ranging from GBP100,000 (US$125,000) to GBP250,000 (US$310,000) will be given, allowing businesses to test and develop ideas that tackle important problems.
Customized assistance will assist businesses in attracting investors, forming alliances with mobile network providers, and creating scalable business plans. To develop their technical and operational skills, beneficiaries will have access to boot camps, learning exchanges, and international industry events like MWC.
You can apply online through March 19.
