Nigeria: CcHub, Mastercard Foundation are Accepting Applications for the 2nd edition of Their ed-Tech Fellowship Program
The Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) and Mastercard Foundation in Nigeria are hosting the Ed-Tech Fellowship Program’s second edition, and applications are now being accepted.
According to Disrupt Africa In February 2023, CcHub announced that it would be launching a US$15 million ed-tech accelerator effort in Kenya and Nigeria through a new relationship with the Mastercard Foundation under the Mastercard Foundation Ed-Tech Fellowship Programme.
The fellowship first supported 12 firms in Nigeria and 12 in Kenya in 2023. Over the following two years, it plans to expand its assistance to 36 ed-tech enterprises.
In its second year, the fellowship’s Nigerian iteration is seeking fresh ideas from entrepreneurs with ed-tech solutions that have the potential to transform education from preschool to the workplace.
Startups need to be incorporated in Nigeria with an emphasis on Africa. Challenges in K–12, formal and informal education, school administration, higher education, corporate learning, and vocational skills training should all be addressed by their solutions.
After completing the accelerator program, the fellows from the 2024 cohort will have access to a pool of investors, professional advice, coaching, and mentorship, as well as networking possibilities. Additionally, they will obtain $100,000 in equity-free funding.
The link is open for applications until February 17.
