6 Startups Join CcHub, Google Fintech Incubation Programme in Rwanda
The six businesses chosen for the second cohort of the Fintech Incubation Program have been announced by Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), in association with Google, Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT and Innovation, and Mojaloop Foundation.
The three-month Fintech Incubation Programme is meant to assist young technology companies developing products aimed at boosting financial inclusion. Nine firms were chosen for the program’s initial cohort, and they graduated with a demo day in July of this year.
After a thorough review process, six startups were selected to join the second cohort of the programme. They are expense management platform Expensa, savings and investments platform Gwiza, mobile money service Hepta Pay, business management solution Kayko, school payments solution SchoolNest Pay, and financial services for farmers platform Smart Ikigega.
CcHub will assist the teams in achieving product stability and scalability, market preparation, and investment over the following three months. They will be able to benefit from the mentorship of business and subject matter experts while utilizing Google products like Mojaloop. The program’s second cohort will come to an end in December with a demo day where the entrepreneurs will pitch investors.
The Fintech Incubation Programme is a component of the Fintech Innovation Programme, a group of growth-oriented initiatives created to hasten Rwanda’s digital transformation and promote a pan-African innovation ecosystem.
