13 Startups Join Scaleup Accelerator by GreenHouse Capital, Microsoft
The 13 startups from East and West Africa selected to participate in the Scaleup Accelerator Programme have been revealed by GreenHouse Capital and Microsoft.
Microsoft and GreenHouse Labs teamed up earlier this year to develop a pre-Series A accelerator program for entrepreneurs aiming to expand into new markets.
The six-week program attempts to connect startups with new markets, digital infrastructure, technical skills, and financial options to help them scale their businesses. It culminates in a demo day where they meet with investors.
Nine of those selected are from Nigeria, namely Ourpass, One Health, GetEquity, Oystr, Chekkit, Eight Medical, Herconomy, Pharmarun and Mobiele. Three are Kenyan, namely BuuPass, Gobeba and Zydii, while Tanzania’s Afya Bora completes the list.
Twelve instructor-led seminars, ten workshops, and three-panel discussions will be part of the program. Each session is designed to assist entrepreneurs in scaling and raising following rounds of investment.
