Women Startup Competition Debuts in Africa, Calls for Applicants
African women-led businesses who wish to expand internationally are encouraged to apply to the Women Startup Competition Africa chapter, which has been launched.
A nonprofit organization called the Women Startup Competition (WSC) works to give more women-owned enterprises access to funding options. The initiative has aided more than 620 female-founded early-stage businesses in 15 countries over the course of its nine years in Europe.
Lebo Mashaba, the CEO and founder of Real PPE, and partners The Tech Collective are leading the establishment of the Women Startup Competition’s Africa branch this year.
In addition to giving three high-potential finalists the chance to present to an international investor audience at the ninth worldwide Women Startup Competition, the Africa chapter’s goals include promoting creative women-led businesses across the continent.
The application period is now open.
