Twitter to Release Unmention Feature for Users

The Unmention tool, which Twitter has launched, will give users more control over their mentions on the social networking platform.

You can now use the functionality to keep yourself out of talks that you don’t want to take part in. The function is now available across all platforms and gadgets.

Starting earlier this month, Twitter Blue subscribers had the opportunity to change the navigation bar in the app on Android devices. The business also declared in June that everyone now has access to a button to toggle captions for its video player on iOS and Android.

Twitter, a microblogging platform, just launched the Unmention feature, which enables you to unfollow people from conversations you don’t want to be a part of.

Unmention will now remove your username from the thread’s tag and halt thread alerts. Additionally, no one will be able to tag you in the same thread once again.

You must hit the three-dot menu on the tweet you wish to Unmention on to do so. You can choose to “leave this conversation” by tapping. After choosing that, a “Let’s get you out of this chat pop-up” will appear, and you will need to choose “leave this conversation” once more. This will let you leave the conversation after you tap it. The feature has been made available on all platforms and gadgets, as was already indicated.

Subscribers to Twitter Blue were given the ability to change the navigation bar in the Android app earlier this month. You may now use a feature that was previously only available on iOS to relocate the Spaces icon out of the center of your menu bar. Twitter tested the Spaces tab for the first time on iOS last year, and it debuted on Android in May.

The American microblogging platform additionally declared in June that everyone now has access to a button to toggle captions for its video player on iOS and Android.
