The World Economic Forum chooses Sendy as one of the leading 100 most promising 2022 Tech Pioneers
Sendy, a logistics startup based in Nairobi, has been selected one of the World Economic Forum’s “Technology Pioneers” for 2022.
The World Economic Forum has identified the 100 most promising Technology Pioneers of 2022, companies that are addressing issues such as sustainability, climate change, healthcare, and other areas.
These are early-stage to growth-stage enterprises from around the world that are transforming business and society via new technology and creativity.
“We’re delighted to welcome Sendy to the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers cohort for 2022,” says Saemoon Yoon, Community Lead, Technology Pioneers.
“Sendy and its fellow pioneers are at the cutting edge of industries that are vital to tackling some of the world’s most complicated problems today. We eagerly anticipate their contribution to the World Economic Forum’s dedication to improving the global situation.”
Sendy Founder & CEO, Mesh Alloys, will participate in World Economic Forum activities, events, and conversations throughout the year as a Technology Pioneer. Over the following two years, Sendy will also participate to Forum activities, engaging with global leaders to address critical industry and societal concerns.
“We are thrilled to be acknowledged as a technical pioneer by the World Economic Forum,” Sendy’s Mesh Alloys said. “This accolade confirms our opinion that Africa’s digital economy offers the most opportunities for young people to engage in the economy.” We look forward to collaborating with the World Economic Forum and collectively contributing to developing a sustainable future for many enterprises across Africa as a company that leverages technology to empower entrepreneurs,” he added.
The inventions of these firms are equally diverse. This year’s Tech Pioneer firms are paving the way for the future with technologies like AI, IoT, robotics, blockchain, biotechnology, and many others.
The community selected the Technology Pioneers based on factors such as innovation, impact, and leadership, as well as the company’s relevance to the World Economic Forum’s Platforms.
