TECNO P3-Smooth, Stylish, Affordable Dual-SIM Smartphone.
Few weeks ago at the Mobile Web West Africa conference in Lagos, some interesting statistics were given on what majority of Nigerians really want from phone manufacturers. Majority of Nigerians want to use smart phones; they want them affordable and of good quality too. Also in that conference, Mr Alex Dadson of Qualcomms revealed that TECNO brand is one of the highest selling smart phones in the Nigerian market. Those revelations influenced my zeal to look at what TECNO smart phones are made of. I had to look at the new TECNO P3 which was launched recently in Nigeria in partnership with Qualcomms and Etisalat.
The stylish nature of TECNO P3 is seen first in its package, the accessories with the 13 months warranty card on it are carefully and neatly packed with authentic TECNO seals,that impressed me and makes me think yea! a good time and thought has been put into making this phone. The phone comes in Black, White with touch of blue ( like the one you see here),and then Yellow colours, there is also the ones branded with Etisalat colours that comes with one year internet service.
TECNO P3 is a dual-SIM smart phone with 3.5 capacitive and very responsive touch screen. It feels very smooth touching the screen and fits into the hand nicely when you hold the phone. The phone is not bulky and won’t fall off your hands that easily(at least mine hasn’t).
The phone’s graphic display, user interface and experience is very aesthetic, it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and powered by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ MSM7225A processor offering users the best 3G smartphone experience, good battery life, and easy access to the Internet and multiple social networks.
The phone comes with the following pre- installed apps: Facebook, WhatsApp, Opera mini,hi Gtalk,Gmail,Youtube,Go keyboard, CarlCare, USIM toolkit,Flash share,Palmchat,UC browser, Af Market,Flash share,PeaceFmonline, ,Playstore,File Explorer.Maps,Navigation and Location tools.
The TECNO P3 camera is a 3MP dual camera (front and back) with flash. The camera captures very clear pictures conveniently.Techno P3 also has some basic features like Torch,FM radio,video recorder,sound recorder,calculator,Alarm,music,Sensors.
The network and connectivity supports,3G,2G,WiFi,Mobile Hotspot, GPRS, Bluetooth, USB and on a GSM 900/DCS 1800/WCDMA 2100MHz band. The phone with the speed of I GHz and RAM 512MB and ROM 512 MB a really a small memory but supports external memory of up to 32GB.
The battery spec. is BL-4E (1400mAh) and from what I have noticed, the phone has a good battery technology, I used it for two days before I recharged it and then I never noticed any heating as most brands of smart phones will do.
What else do need to know before you get one for youreslf?,I love the easy dial buttons for the two SIMs, the call log is graphically and clearly stored. The phone is easy to use, with so many surprises as you explore the apps and its features.For me, the TECNO P3 is really a good phone considering it has all of these features at a price less than 15,000 Naira and the design offers confidence for people who cannot afford the expensive smart phones!
