Sophos Unveils Sophos Switch Series to Bolster Connectivity at the Access Layer
Sophos, a global pioneer in next-generation cybersecurity, today introduced the Sophos Switch Series, which includes a variety of network access layer switches for connecting, powering, and controlling device access within a Local Area Network (LAN).
The new product expands Sophos’ secure access portfolio, which already includes Sophos Firewall and Sophos Wireless.
“Sophos Switch seamlessly integrates with the Sophos adaptive cybersecurity ecosystem to extend connectivity across office LANs,” said Joe Levy, chief technology officer at Sophos. “We’re removing the complexities of multi-vendor deployments by providing organizations and channel partners with a single source of management, monitoring and troubleshooting.”
The cloud-based Sophos Central platform is used to manage switches remotely. This allows partners to manage all customer installations, respond to alarms, and track licenses and approaching renewal dates through a single, user-friendly interface.
“The Sophos Switch wonderfully compliments the existing Sophos portfolio – it was the missing element in our IT security offering, and it now provides our company even more clout.” We were already quite successful with Sophos Firewall, and now, thanks to Sophos Switch, we can fully leverage Sophos’ products and services.
Our early access program experience demonstrated that Sophos Switch is a game changer for us, and we were pleasantly surprised by how well the solution functioned from day one,” stated Patrizio Perret, chief technology officer at Avanet.
“While a switch is essentially a commodity these days, Sophos’ software capabilities provide the necessary spice to the hardware.” Sophos’ adaptive cybersecurity ecosystem is the secret ingredient that will elevate Sophos Switch to new heights by allowing businesses to combine it with other Sophos security components in their network.”
Availability
Switches with eight, twenty-four, and forty-eight ports are now available for purchase only through Sophos’ global channel of partners and managed service providers (MSPs).
These are appropriate for small and medium-sized organizations, remote and home offices, shops, branch offices, and other similar applications.
