Release of the Unlimited AI Pendant With AI-Powered Audio Recording and Transcription Functions; Features, Cost
Limitless AI Pendant, a wearable device that is designed to record everything that is said in its vicinity, was unveiled by the company on April 15. The artificial intelligence (AI)-powered device offers a unique form factor and is designed to help users recall important information, eliminating the need to rely on notetaking. The device features a double aluminium body and a magnetic clasp. It supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and has a USB Type-C port for charging. Limitless has revealed that the AI Pendant will be shipped to customers in Q4 2024.
The company announced the device via a video post on YouTube on Monday. Dan Siroker, CEO of Limitless AI, said, “[..] we are introducing Limitless. It is a Web app, a Mac app, a Windows app, and a wearable. Limitless is a personalised AI, powered by what you’ve seen, said, or heard. Limitless augments, not replaces human intelligence with artificial intelligence to overcome the brain’s limitations, specifically our memory and our focus.”
Price and availability of AI pendants are limitless
The Limitless AI Pendant is priced at $99 and comes in eight color options: black, blue, green, grey, navy blue, pink, white, and yellow.
Preorders are being accepted by the firm, and shipping is scheduled to start in Q4 2024. The device doesn’t require a monthly membership to operate, but in order to access the entire library of AI features, customers will need to pay an extra $19 for the ‘Limitless Pro’ subscription. Preorders are being accepted by the company, and the product will be sent between October and December of 2024.
Countless aspects of the AI pendant
The wearable necklace doubles as a recording device, capturing every word that is spoken near it. The gadget can recognize and record only spoken words—not background noise or ambient sounds—using AI algorithms. It is even able to differentiate between speakers.
The entire Limitless offering consists of only half the recording capability. The companion software, which can be accessed online and on Windows and macOS, makes up the second section.
After a session ends, the device saves and saves the recording on the server, which can be accessed through the app. The recordings are preserved on the cloud. Additionally, the software offers the information from the recording in four different formats: Summary, Notes, Transcript, and Helpful Context.
The Summary delivers a thorough account of the events, while the Context offers a concise synopsis of the conversation with targeted keywords. The entire conversation is transcribed verbatim in the transcript, and timestamps are included in the notes for convenience of reading.
Regarding the wearable’s features, it is a flexible clasp that may be attached onto garments or worn as a pendant thanks to its magnetic ends. When folded, the device measures 31.9 mm in width and 16 mm in thickness. The gadget supports USB Type-C charging and has a 100-hour battery life, according to the manufacturer.
Multiple microphones on the Limitless Pendant aid in its ability to detect audio. When the gadget is recording, a visible LED light turns on. It can sync data via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to the app and cloud.
Limitless emphasizes privacy as well. The device only records voice when the speaker has verbally consented, thanks to a Consent Mode provided by the business.
It can discern consent from contextual language, so users don’t have to interrupt the discussion to express their consent.
The business has created Confidential Cloud, a secure cloud server where users may only access encrypted data that is stored and encrypted. This is comparable to how end-to-end encrypted data is stored by Signal and Telegram, which is accessible from any device and private to the user.
