Paradigm Initiative (PIN) opens application researchers for the Evaluating Africa’s Digital Literacy Initiatives and Workforce Readiness.

Experienced researchers are being invited to work with Paradigm Initiative (PIN), a prominent pan-African organization that promotes digital rights and inclusion in the Global South, on a study called “Evaluating Africa’s Digital Literacy Initiatives and Impact on Global Competency Applicability and Work Readiness.”
The success of digital literacy initiatives throughout the African continent will be investigated in this study, along with how well they prepare young Africans for employment in a world that is becoming more and more digital.
Africa’s digital revolution is happening quickly, but there are still a lot of gaps in the development of digital skills, especially when it comes to making sure that young people are ready for the demands of the global labor. Despite the abundance of digital literacy programs, little empirical research has been done on their long-term effects on workforce preparedness and employability. This study intends to address that gap by examining the strengths and shortcomings of existing courses, identifying best practices, and making recommendations for more effective digital skills training.
To do so, PIN is looking for outside researchers to collaborate with our in-house team and carry out a thorough assessment throughout five African subregions. They will play a crucial role in data collection, analysis, and reporting, ultimately contributing to policy recommendations that can help shape the future of digital literacy and workforce development in Africa.
We are looking for researchers who can meet the following requirements:
- Expertise in digital literacy, workforce development, or education research
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and research design (quantitative and/or qualitative)
- Familiarity with Africa’s digital education and employment landscapes
- A track record of publishing research reports or policy papers
- Commitment to a six-month research period (February–July 2025)
- Mastery of the French language is an added advantage.
Interested researchers should submit their applications here by March 17th, 2025 at 12:00 AM GMT
