Omidyar Network’s Accelerating Entrepreneurship in Africa Forum Holds in Nigeria
Omidyar Network is convening some of Nigeria’s distinguished business, government and thought leaders to examine the state of entrepreneurship in Africa and share insights on changes needed to foster high-impact entrepreneurship nationally and across the continent. It is our pleasure to invite you to this special forum.
In 2012, Omidyar Network launched the Accelerating Entrepreneurship in Africa initiative, a multi-phase research project conducted by Monitor Group to identify the challenges facing African entrepreneurs and barriers to creating an environment supportive of entrepreneurship. The initiative commenced with a survey of entrepreneurs in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania; preliminary findings were presented and discussed at the Entrepreneurship in Africa Summit last October in Accra, Ghana.
The findings of this groundbreaking research, including detailed analysis on Nigeria, will be presented at the Accelerating Entrepreneurship in Africa Forum. This forum coincides with the release of our original report that summarizes the discussions held last October and provides recommendations on the critical measures required for entrepreneurs to thrive in Nigeria.
